As it would take too long to ride to this area, a local
flight is the best option, taking you to the northern border with Russia. In addition to
nomads, this area is home to the last of the Turkic speaking Dukha people who are reindeer
herders. At present this area is not visited by many people and provides one of best
chances for a visitor to access an area of significant natural and ethnological interest. Flight to/from Muron every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Day 1 Arrive Ulan Baatar. Meet and transferred to your hotel. (B) Day 2 Fly to the town of Muron. Transfer to a Ger camp located on the shoreline of Lake Khuvsgul (140km). Overnight in Ger.
